Sometimes the low-tech solutions are the best:
I live in a climate where we rarely need heat, but back when I was in TN I would’ve given at least one of my favorite teeth for a good wood stove and a chunk of forest to call my own. If you live in the city, pallets are a good source of scrap wood, though I don’t think the bungee trick is going to work well on those.
